Hello, I’m Jackie Golob. I work with fabulous firecracker folks who are ready to do the work in therapy. I’m a Polish-American, Cisgender Heterosexual woman who uses she/her pronouns, and a BDSM/Kinky, HAES practitioner. I’m a former Catholic turned spiritual Cancer Zodiac who’s enthusiastic about Oracle Cards and other spiritual practices, here to help you be unapologetically you.

In my therapy and coaching services, I love hearing humorous stories, celebrating the progress we’ve made, and being fully present when healing happens. I’m not about the shame game. I’m all about helping you with therapy, holistic healing, coaching, and your private practice goals as a fellow therapist.
My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
I developed my own confidence and self-esteem by breaking down shame, calling out bullshit for what it is, picking and choosing my battles, and most importantly, trusting my intuition.
I learned to trust my intuition the hard way. Back in 2020, I had a gut feeling that my mom’s health was at risk. I knew something was wrong before she even told me. My intuition was on point, and I was right. This was a powerful moment that taught me to never let anyone—not even a therapist—gaslight my emotions or tell me what I was feeling wasn’t valid. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s not right. Your intuition, or “spidey senses,” is a superpower, an inner compass you need to trust. I’ve learned to speak up, talk about my feelings, and not shame myself for having them. Sharing how you truly feel in the moment is one of the most vulnerable things you can do—and it’s a huge self-esteem booster.
Calling out bullshit is something I had to learn, too. Growing up in a Polish-American family, I dealt with a lot of complex trauma and shame. I was taught to “respect your elders” and not to speak up, which created a deep sense of shame around my emotions. This led to me being a quiet kid, and it wasn’t until graduate school that I truly learned to use my voice and advocate for myself. I got called out for my avoidant attachment style and for making self-deprecating comments. It was hard, but it was the best lesson I ever learned. My professors pushed me to work on my shame, and I learned to use my voice, ask for help, and be consistent with it.
My experience with shame extends to my professional life as well. I’ve had bosses and even other therapists try to shame me into doing things that weren’t right for me. I’ve been told I had a problem with staffing when I was a top recruiter, and a fellow therapist tried to shame me for wanting to take the summer off to work on myself. I learned to call out the shame and pick and choose my battles. When my ex-boss tried to manipulate me, I stood my ground. When a fellow therapist made a snarky comment about my schedule, I let it go. You don’t have to waste your time, breath, or energy on people who don’t deserve it. You have to decide when it’s worth it to fight.
My experience with shame is so deeply embedded in my life that I’ve developed my own tools to help my clients with their shame work. I’ve created “shame personalities and behaviors inventories” and other “shameless inventories” and “sexercises” to help people do the hard, but necessary work of healing. We can’t bypass our shame work. Staying shameless means doing and being with your shame, speaking the fuck up, calling out bullshit, picking and choosing your battles, and building confidence by breaking down the shame. This is where my confidence comes from, and this is how I stay shameless.
What I’m Working on and How I Can Help You

I’m a Sex Therapist, Business Coach, Consultant, Reiki Practitioner, Astrologer, Tarot/Oracle Energy Reader, and more! I have my own private practice, Shameless Therapy & Consulting Services, which I’ve had since October 2021.
I treat DSM-5 sexual functioning diagnoses or symptoms clients may be experiencing in therapy. In my sexual wellness and business coaching services, I help people transform into their shameless selves! What’s most exciting is that I get to use holistic healing tools, my own shame exercises, astrology, tarot, crystals, oracle cards, journal prompts, shadow work, and sexercises with clients. I love that I’m my own boss and get to do whatever the hell I want!
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and I’ve completed my Certificate in Sex Therapy coursework. My specialties are Sex Therapy, Couples Counseling, and Self-Care Counseling. I work with clients on their future goals and help them take the steps to get there. Holistic Healing Coaching is a specialty I offer for those who want to put themselves on their to-do list without being judged as a “woo woo” healer. I also love to help fellow therapists build a private practice that serves them best in their life.
As a helper, I know how hard it is to put yourself on your to-do list, pun intended, and take time for your wellness. Don’t worry, we’re in this together. We’ll have a simple 15-minute phone call to see if I’m a good fit for your needs. If I’m not, I will do my best to share who the best person might be.
Let’s free you from the shaming messages that have taken over the scripts in your life. You are the boss of yourself, and you do you at the end of the day!
Are you ready to start your journey to a more shameless life?
